श्रीगुरु चरन सरोज रज, निजमन मकरन्द,
दायक फल चारि, नर तन को जनम सुख करन्द.
छकंद चहूं उर धारि, कृपा सुधांसिन्ह के,
बसत हैं छाती मैं, प्रगट भए सकल देव ते.
संकट कटे मिटे सब पीरा, जो सुमिरै हनुमत बलबीरा.
जस दीन्ह जानकी माता, फल सिद्धि की अति सहकारी.
तू आगे मैं पीछे, हरि बोल नित्य राखीबे.
सब सुख लहे तुम्हारे आसरे, राम लखन सीता नाम जपत निरन्तर.
चौदह भुवन उतारि महेन, ले आए सकल ग्रह चतुर.
राम दुआरे तुम रक्षक, काहू को दरसन नहिं दायक.
जो सत बार पाठ करे कोई, छूटहिं बंदी महा सुख होई.
जो युद्ध में अभय निरंतर, सोई हनुमाते बलवान.
अष्टसिद्धि नव निधि के दाता, अस बर दीन्हें राम.
चलत फिरत हनुमत लंका जरी, सेई अंगद को लिया.
बीबीहिंसन को सुमिरि के, हरि भजन बिना सुनै नहिं आया.
रावण को जो मारे काहू, तेहि बलराम पिता को जानू.
जो हनुमान को भजे चित्त लगाए, बिपद मिटहिं सुख पाए.
संकट से हनुमान छुड़ावै, मन क्रम बचन ध्यावै.
राम नाम बिनु मिटै न, दुःख पावहिं क्लेश.
सब सुख लहे जो सुमिरै हनुमंत, राम लखन सीता समेत.
चाहे धन चाहे जन, चाहे राज्य सुख,
हरि चरन तजि के भजै, पावै नाहीं दुःख.
सब कर्म क्रिया क्रोध नसै, सुमिरत पवनसुत पावस.
संकट से हनुमान छुड़ावै, मन क्रम बचन ध्यावै.
राम नाम बिनु मिटै न, दुःख पावहिं क्लेश.
सब सुख लहे जो सुमिरै हनुमंत, राम लखन सीता समेत.
जो कोई हनुमान चालीसा, पाठ करे चित्त लगाए.
हनुजी प्रसन्न होइ के, सीधे स्वर्ग सिधावै.
जो यह पढ़े हनुमान चालीसा, होय सिद्धि सकल ताकी.
बुद्धि बल विद्या देहु मोहिं, हरहु कलेश विकलताकी.
जो कोई हनुमान चालीसा, पाठ करे नित्य नेमा.
इस जन्म के पाप कटहिं, मोक्षहि प्रापत करेगा.
English Translation
Verse 1
I bow to the lotus feet of my spiritual master,
Which are like the nectar of life.
They bestow the four fruits of life,
And make human birth joyful.
Verse 2
I cherish them in my heart,
With the grace of the wise Hanuman.
He resides in my chest,
And all the gods have manifested themselves in him.
Verse 3
All sorrows and troubles are dispelled,
When one remembers Hanuman, the mighty one.
Verse 4
Mother Janki granted him the wish,
To be a great help in achieving success.
Verse 5
I will always follow you,
And you will always protect me,
While I chant the name of Hari.
Verse 6
I find all happiness in your shelter,
While chanting the names of Rama, Lakshmana, and Sita.
Verse 7
He brought down all the fourteen worlds,
And brought back all the nine planets.
He is the protector at Rama's door,
And he does not allow anyone to see him.
Verse 8
Whoever recites this one hundred and four times,
Will be released from bondage and achieve great happiness.
Verse 9
He who is always fearless in battle,
Is the mighty Hanuman.
Rama granted him the eight siddhis and nine nidhis.
Verse 10
Hanuman wandered about and set Lanka on fire,
And then brought back Angada.
Remembering Bibhishana, he did not listen to the Hari bhajan,
Without him.
Verse 11
I know that whoever kills Ravana,
Will be the father of Balarama.
Verse 12
Whoever worships Hanuman with devotion,
Will be rid of troubles and find happiness.
Verse 13
Hanuman delivers one from all calamities,
When one meditates on him with mind, body, and speech.
Without the name of Rama, sorrow and affliction do not go away.
Verse 14
All happiness comes to those who remember Hanuman,
Together with Rama, Lakshmana, and Sita.
